There is a finally approved settlement in a class action lawsuit against Takata Corporation ("Takata"), its affiliates, and those automotive companies to whom Takata supplied certain airbag products. The settlement resolves certain claims against Nissan entities, including, but not limited to, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., and Nissan North America, Inc. (collectively, “Nissan”) that were based on the inclusion of those Takata airbag products in certain Nissan and Infiniti vehicles (“Nissan Vehicles”). The Class Members included in the settlement have legal rights, options and deadlines by which they must exercise them.
You are included if you purchased certain Nissan or Infiniti vehicles (which are listed in Question 3 on the FAQ page) and currently engage, or at the time of purchase were engaged, in the business of automotive salvage and/or recycling, and/or recycled, refurbished, and/or removed for sale and/or re-sale Takata Inflators and/or Takata Inflator-related component parts.
The finally approved settlement provides for an Enhanced Inflator Recovery Program.
